The Llinars del Vallès Town Council has awarded us the integral rehabilitation of the Castell Nou, the most emblematic building in the municipality. Declared a Cultural Asset of National Interest in 1983, it is considered one of the finest Renaissance palaces in Catalonia.

Completed in 1558, the Castle features a square floor plan arranged around its distinctive central courtyard, a defining element of its architectural character.

A symbolic groundbreaking ceremony was recently held in the courtyard, with the participation of the mayor, the architectural firm led by Guillermo Vázquez Consuegra —author of the project— and our general director, Albert Archs.

The rehabilitation will restore the Castle’s original essence, removing later additions with no cultural value and bringing back natural light, spaciousness and continuity to the interior. The project includes mobility improvements —such as a new lift and access ramps— and a transparent roof over the central courtyard to broaden its cultural use.

The building will be updated to host new cultural and administrative uses, including public spaces and a future café-bar integrated into the complex.

With this project, we reinforce our commitment to heritage preservation and to the development of our territory, restoring a historic space so it can once again be part of the daily life of Llinars.
