The Intermodal Logistics Centre (CILSA) has chosen Archs Constructora to carry out the
construction of a logistics platform in the Barcelona ZAL Port, as part of a Joint Venture with Urcotex Inmobiliaria and the company Agefred. This JV is not the first time this multidisciplinary team has worked together. In 2017, it completed the construction of a 18,000 m² cold store in ZAL Port in Barcelona for the same customer.
The cold store is being used by the company Carrefour, and this new platform will be used for the logistics of the company Lidl.
Archs Constructora is contributing its experience in industrial works, Urcotex Inmobiliaria in building works and Agefred is responsible for the entire installations part. It is the perfect team to carry out such a demanding challenge in terms of quality, deadlines and price.
In addition, as was also the case with the cold store, it will need to complete the work complying with the demanding requirements established by the Leed Gold certification. For this, throughout the course of the work the JV will respect the aspects related to energy efficiency, the use of alternative energies, the improvement in the indoor air quality, the efficiency of water consumption, the sustainable development of the free spaces on the plot and the selection of materials, proposing the necessary improvements to achieve this.
Next month, Archs Constructora will also start work on the extension of an industrial warehouse on the “Pla de Rigat” industrial estate, in the town of Vilanova del Camí (Barcelona). This construction is made up of 2 buildings joined by a metal roof and which cover a total of 9,116 m².
